Terms of Service

Effective October 19, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Eclipse when you use our website, dashboard and Discord bot. By logging in, adding Eclipse to a server, or otherwise using it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Eclipse.

1. The service

Eclipse is a Discord bot and dashboard for communities that run Emergency Response: Liberty County (ER:LC) servers. Today it offers a Utilities module (sessions, votes, in-game command logs, shifts, tickets and leave of absence, plus message and embed tools) and a Moderation module (a staff panel with ranks, moderation logs, staff requests and quotas). We may add, change or remove features and modules over time. Eclipse is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Roblox Corporation, Police Roleplay Community, or Discord.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You log in with your Discord account. You must be old enough to use Discord under its terms (at least 13, or older where your local law says so), and if you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian agrees to these terms for you. You are responsible for activity under your account, so keep it secure. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

3. Plans and servers

The Utilities and Moderation modules are currently free. Other modules are in development and may be paid. If and when paid modules launch, the price, billing period and refund terms will be shown clearly before you buy, and those details will form part of these terms. We may change the price of a module for future periods, and we will tell you before it affects you. We may also end the free status of a module with reasonable notice.

5. Your ER:LC server key

Eclipse uses your server key to read and run your in-game server. You confirm that you are authorized to use and share the key, and that you are the owner or an authorized manager of that ER:LC server. We store it encrypted and use it only to provide the features you turn on. You can replace it at any time, and you should regenerate it in ER:LC if you think it has been exposed. You are responsible for what Eclipse does in your server under the settings you choose.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Your content and data

You keep ownership of what you create with Eclipse, including your settings, custom messages and templates. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to run the service for you. You are responsible for your server's content and for telling your members what Eclipse records, such as shift times, vote participation, command logs and ticket transcripts. You must have the right to share that information with us. We own Eclipse, including its software, design, name and logo.

8. Third-party services

Eclipse depends on Discord, the ER:LC API, and other services. We do not control them, and their changes, limits or outages can affect Eclipse. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Eclipse running, but we do not promise it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, change or discontinue features, or limit usage. We try to give notice of major changes when we can.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Eclipse at any time by removing it from your server and asking us to delete your data. We may suspend or end your access, remove Eclipse from a server, or delete a plan if you break these terms, put others or the service at risk, or if we are required to by law or by Discord or another provider. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as ownership, disclaimers, liability limits and the general terms, will continue.

11. Disclaimers

Eclipse is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Eclipse will meet your needs, that logs, shift totals or other records will always be complete or correct, or that it will be free of bugs. You are responsible for decisions you make based on its output, including moderation and staffing decisions.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Eclipse and the people behind it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of community, arising from your use of Eclipse. Our total liability for any claim relating to Eclipse is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US$50. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
